NFCA's SFRM and IFRM Contractor Accreditation Programs prove contractor knowledge. UL's Qualified SFRM Contractor Program proves knowledge and has a mandatory office and on-site management system audit to verify that policies and procedures are working at the company.
Inspection Agency Competence Accreditation Programs
The International Building Code requires the inspection agency entity (C-Corporation, LLC, S-Corporation, LLP, etc.) to have experience and competent inspectors. Management System based programs like International Accreditation Services (IAS) Accreditation Criteria (AC) 291 (IAS-AC 291) provides a quantifyable way to prove inspection agency competence.
